Hug a Child is our way of introducing you to the very special Sponsorship program which is run by the Shiva Charity (Schools Helping India Voluntary Association).

The Shiva Charity has a wonderful program for Sponsoring Children in Sri Lanka and Nepal. Prior to the terrible
tragedy of December 26th, 2004, the emphasis of sponsoring a child was directed toward education, to give the child a chance to promote skills with the hope of insuring a better quality of life for all of the sponsored children, as well as their families. At this time, the need for sponsoring children is even greater, since the basic needs of food, water, clothing and shelter must now be addressed, as well as education for the children.

Hugs 4 Sri Lanka Kids will be presenting photographs and minibiographies of Sri Lanka children available for Sponsorship through the Shiva Charity for the small sum of just $8 per month.
